    Chairman

    Hiroyuki Fujita, Ph.D., Hon. Sc.D., is the Founder and CEO of Quality Electrodynamics (QED), Chairman of Canon Healthcare USA, Inc., and Chief Technology Officer of the Magnetic Resonance (MR) Division at Canon Medical Systems. A recognized leader in the field of medical imaging, he is driven by a long-standing vision to revolutionize diagnostic healthcare through the development and integration of advanced imaging technologies. As Chairman, he helps shape the strategic direction of Canon's healthcare initiatives, focusing on high-quality, accessible solutions that enhance patient outcomes. Dr. Fujita is deeply committed to advancing global healthcare by fostering innovation, promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration, and building strong partnerships across academia, industry, and clinical practice. His work continues to shape the future of medical imaging and drive significant improvements in healthcare systems worldwide.

    Hisashi Tachizaki

    President

    With over 30 years’ experience in the medical imaging industry, Hisashi Tachizaki is now leading the establishment and growth of Canon Healthcare USA. In this role Mr. Tachizaki is responsible for expanding Canon’s upstream marketing, business strategy, and business operations capabilities, to impact Canon Medical’s development of market focused solutions, drive strategic approaches to business development, and expand Canon’s network of tier 1 KOLs globally.

    After completing his mechanical engineering master’s degree in biomechanical research, he developed extensive experience across the Canon business; in CT engineering, leading R&D, managing the global Canon CT business, and more recently as VP for Global Sales and Marketing at Canon Medical Systems Corporation.

    In addition to his role as President of Canon Healthcare USA, Mr. Tachizaki holds positions as Executive Officer, Canon Inc., Director and Senior Vice President, Canon Medical Systems Corporation, and President and CEO of Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc.

    In addition, Mr. Tachizaki is the Managing Director, US Business and Operations at Canon Medical Systems Corporation, where he drives operational alignment between entities, ensuring a cohesive and efficient approach to meeting the requirements of the U.S market and the parent Canon company.

    Tsuneo (Neo) Imai

    Vice President

    Over 4 decades of medical business with Canon in Japan, Europe and U.S., Imai now focuses on developing and enhancing strategic partnership and collaboration with top U.S. academic medical institutions such as Cleveland Clinic.

    Imai holds two undergraduate degrees of Political Science from Universities in Japan and U.S. and master’s degree of International Business from U.S. University.

    Madhavi Kapa

    Vice President

    As Vice President of Upstream Marketing & Partner Development at Canon Healthcare USA, Madhavi Kapa leads the global multi-modality product and clinical strategy for Canon’s healthcare business, driving innovation through strategic product management and impactful KOL partnerships. She focuses on advancing Canon’s healthcare solutions to deliver meaningful clinical and business outcomes. With over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, she has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, shaping global product portfolios, and commercializing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Prior to joining Canon, Kapa held senior leadership roles at Accuray and Philips, consistently delivering strategic growth and innovation. She holds a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communication Engineering, a Master’s in Computer Science, and an Executive MBA.

    Maryanne McHugh

    Acting Vice President

    In addition to working with CHCU, Maryanne is Vice President & Chief Global Marketing Executive for Canon Medical Systems Corporation, Japan. Maryanne has extensive experience in the medical imaging industry, spending her early career in Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound in Sydney Australia, then moving to the commercial sector in clinical training, applications support and sales, learning the importance of partnering with healthcare professionals to advance the industry, and develop Canon’s business, all while ensuring the very best for patients. Maryanne’s early commercial success saw her take on business management and leadership roles across all imaging modalities, and, after completing further marketing and business studies, national roles in marketing and strategic direction. Maryanne commenced working for Toshiba Healthcare, Japan in 2014 in a Global Strategic Advisory role, continuing in this role with Canon Medical systems, until being appointed VP in 2024. Maryanne is dedicated to elevating the importance of leadership, sound strategy and a positive, healthy and robust workplace culture, in delivering business and personal success, for every member of the organization.

    Ryota (Rio) Kikura

    Senior Director, Business Operations

    After over 30-year experience in Canon, Rio Kikura was transferred to Canon Healthcare USA from Canon Inc. to establish a very first Canon company in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been responsible for any administrative tasks including HR, IT, facility, budget control, etc. He is also in charge of upstream marketing for biological areas, including regenerative medicine, etc.

He has a passion for connecting people, ideas, and technologies to further the vision of a healthier, happier world.
